Since 1988, the firm has played a major role in representation of Indian tribes in New Mexico, and since the early 1990s it has become a leader in tribal representation in Arizona and Wisconsin.  Partners Richard W. Hughes, Eric N. Dahlstrom and Denten D. Robinson are widely recognized for their expertise in Indian gaming matters, and they and many of the firm's associates and support staff have broad experience in virtually the full range of Indian law subjects, including land and water rights, natural resources, economic development, jurisdiction, federal-tribal relations, and others.  The firm is currently involved in two general stream adjudications on behalf of tribal clients in New Mexico, numerous tribal land claim and trespass disputes, major negotiations for economic development projects, jurisdictional disputes and many other matters, and it provides day-to-day advice to tribal governments on a broad array of tribal governmental legal issues.
