Alejandro Alvarado (he/him/el) was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and raised in Carbondale, Colorado. Alejandro graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law with his Juris Doctorate in 2024.

Prior to law school, Alejandro was a community organizer, paralegal, and court clerk. These experiences along with his upbringing inspired him to attend law school and pursue a career in conflict resolution, criminal defense, and protecting the rights of all people. 

Alejandro's proudest achievements during law school include externing at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico and representing clients through the UNM Southwest Indian Law Clinic. As an extern at the U.S. District Court, Alejandro gained valuable experience drafting an opinion and expanding his legal research capabilities. As a clinician, Alejandro practiced criminal defense in several Tribal Courts throughout New Mexico and immigration law in the U.S. Federal Immigration Court in El Paso, Texas.
