Autumn Shone (she/her/hers) was born and raised in Arizona and is a citizen of the Navajo Nation. Autumn graduated from Yale with a B.A. in Race, Ethnicity, and Migration. After graduation, Autumn taught elementary school on the Rosebud Indian Reservation and Navajo Nation. During her time as a teacher, Autumn focused on culturally responsive teaching techniques and explored advocacy in the classroom. These experiences led her to apply for law school. 

Autumn graduated from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where she also received an Indian Law Certificate and Trial Advocacy Certificate. In law school, Autumn served as the American Indian Council Representative for ASU's Native American Law Student Association (NALSA) and participated in the National Native American Law Student Association (NNALSA) Moot Court Competition where she and her partner made it to the “Sweet 16” round. 

After graduating law school, Autumn clerked for the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, where she researched and analyzed many different areas of law. Autumn is committed to the practice of Indian law and being an advocate for tribal sovereignty and self-determination.
