Rothstein Donatelli LLP is seeking a Summer Associate for its criminal law/civil rights practice for its Albuquerque, New Mexico office. The practice areas of the Albuquerque office include civil rights and discrimination law, representation of survivors of sexual abuse, criminal defense, complex civil litigation, appeals and post-conviction work, and Indian law. Rothstein Donatelli LLP is committed to social justice and vigorously protecting the rights of its clients.
The Summer Associate will be given a variety of real work assignments and will learn what a career in a boutique firm entails. The Summer Associate will have the opportunity to observe court when appropriate, interact with clients, and receive feedback from attorneys in the Albuquerque office. The Summer Associate will also be assigned an attorney mentor that can assist the Summer Associate with navigating firm culture and law school objectives. An applicant should be team oriented, easy-going yet ambitious, and eager to serve clients.

- Completed 1L or 2L year by Summer 2024
- Excellent research abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with working with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures (preferred)
- Demonstrated interest in criminal law/civil rights
