Facing thousands of sexual-abuse lawsuits filed by former scouts, the Boy Scouts of America (“BSA”) has filed for bankruptcy. Through bankruptcy, the BSA will establish a fund to compensate survivors of sexual abuse at the hand of BSA employees and volunteers. Survivors will have a limited time in which to file a claim with the bankruptcy court. The deadline has not yet been set; check back for updates.
