ROTHSTEIN DONATELLI FILES FIFTH CIVIL RIGHTS SUIT AGAINST CONVICTED CHILD MOLESTER AND HIS EMPLOYER, THE ESPANOLA PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT

Posted by Unknown | Feb 04, 2020

Rothstein Donatelli civil rights attorneys Carolyn M. “Cammie” Nichols, Alicia Lopez, and Maggie Lane have filed their fifth lawsuit on behalf of a survivor of former schoolteacher and convicted sex offender, Gary Gregor, and Gregor's employer, the Espanola Public School District (EPS).

Victim C.M.'s lawsuit charges Gregor with violating her Fourteenth Amendment rights when he systematically sexually abused her throughout her third-grade year, in 2004-2005.

The suit further charges EPS with failing to train, monitor, and supervise Gregor and with condoning the sexual abuse C.M. faced in his classroom.

Rothstein Donatelli's prior lawsuits against Gregor and his employers – EPS and the Santa Fe Public School District -- have resulted in a combined $20.2 million in settlements to Gregor's victims to date.
