Posted by Donna M. Connolly | Oct 27, 2023

Rothstein Donatelli is collaborating with the Arizona State University (ASU) Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) to organize and sponsor a series of monthly Brown Bag Luncheons with law students featuring Native attorneys who will discuss their work experience, career choices, and professional journeys.  Each month at ASU, Rothstein Donatelli and NALSA will feature different speakers to showcase the wide range of professional opportunities in the field of Federal Indian Law available to graduating law students. On Wednesday October 25th, the inaugural Brown Bag Luncheon featured Steve Heeley of Rothstein Donatelli and Ron Rosier of Lewis Roca who shared their experiences working as in-house counsel to Native communities, on the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and House Natural Resources Committee, in boutique Indian law firms, and in larger law firms with established Federal Indian Law practices.  Both speakers provided law students with advice on making valuable career choices, leveraging law school and professional connections, and effectively utilizing practical skills throughout their professional journey. Both Rothstein Donatelli and NALSA at ASU hope these Brown Bag Luncheons will bring together experienced Native attorneys and law students to promote and develop the next generation of Native attorneys to serve Indian country.
