Rothstein Donatelli LLP welcomes Elizabeth “Libby” Murphy.  Libby joins the Firm as a Summer Law Clerk in the Indian Law Practice Group.  Libby will be working from the Tempe office.

Libby is a rising third-year law student at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University (ASU). She hails from McKinney, Texas near Dallas metroplex.  Libby is an avid soccer player having played in college and semi-professionally, and served as Captain of her college's Women's Soccer Team.  While in college at Texas Woman's University, Libby also served as University Vice President of Social Relations. After college, Libby chose to pursue a J.D. because she wanted to make a positive impact in people's lives. She chose to attend the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, in part, because she enjoys the Arizona desert, sunsets, and southwestern culture.

While at ASU, Libby discovered an interest in tribal law and federal Indian law.  She became a member of the Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) to help pursue this interest and Co-President of the National Lawyers Guild.  In these roles, Libby organized a successful event to inform students on the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Woman (MMIW).  Libby also externed at the Arizona House of Representatives and has accepted a board position on ASU's esteemed Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science and Technology.

Libby is an experienced hiker, enjoys exploring the outdoors, teaches bootcamp fitness, DJs and has plans to start producing her own electronic house music. Libby is thrilled her life journey has led her to Rothstein Donatelli.

The Firm's Summer Law Clerk Program provides law clerks with an opportunity to experience the unique culture and day-to-day life of a lawyer in a highly regarded, AV-rated boutique law firm.  Summer law clerks gain hands-on experience in one of the Firm's practice groups and assist the Firm's attorneys and partners in client engagement, conflict resolution, legal research and writing, and litigation preparation. Summer law clerks also observe and participate in court and other forums. The Firm is excited to welcome Libby and looks forward to supporting her legal endeavors.
