Katie Hale is a rising 3L with a background in environmental science and public health. Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, she earned her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from the University of Idaho before completing a Master of Public Health at the University of Utah.

During law school, Katie has been actively involved in student leadership and academic mentorship, serving as President of the Environmental Law Society, tutoring first-year law students in legal writing courses, and serving as the incoming Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Natural Resources Journal. She is passionate about advocacy, public service, and community-centered legal work.

In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring the landscapes of the Southwest and Mountain West. She especially loves river rafting, hiking, camping, and discovering new trails with friends and family.
